Church of the Ascension exists to bring the uncompromising Word of
God to a lost and broken world. Our services are rooted in the richness
and beauty of ancient symbolism while being relevant to today's culture.
We are a young church growing in God the Father and with each other;
learning to be a conduit for the Lord's healing hand to the world.
Our worship is simple yet fervent, utilizing both the traditional hymns
of the Church and modern worship music.

That the Holy Scriptures are the final authority on all matters of
faith, doctrine and practice. Where Scripture does not speak clearly,
we defer to apostolic tradition.
That the historic creeds of the undivided Church provide a clear and
indisputable summary of the Christian faith.
That we are saved by grace, through faith in the atoning work of Jesus
Christ.
That the Sacraments of the Church impart the grace of God.
That God is at work in the hearts and minds of all who call and believe
on His name.
That the Holy Spirit works today through spiritual gifts and signs
given to the Church.

If you attend our services you might find us similar in some ways,
and different in others, than churches you have already attended. Although
there are many kinds of churches, they fall into three major categories
-- or streams, of worship:
Liturgical/Sacramental..... Emphasis on the Sacraments
Evangelical..... Emphasis on the Bible
Charismatic..... Emphasis on the Spirit
At Ascension we blend these three streams into one river of worship.
Our worship is biblical, liturgical and Spirit-filled, ancient and contemporary,
holy and joyful.
If you're looking for Ancient Truth, the Richness of Liturgy and Preaching
that is relevant in today's culture, come worship with us.

We are a mission of the Charismatic Episcopal Church.
The Charismatic Episcopal Church exists to make visible the Kingdom
of God to the nations of the world; to bring the rich sacramental and
liturgical life of the early church to searching evangelicals and charismatics;
to carry the power of Pentecost to our brothers and sisters in the historic
churches; and finally, to provide a home for all Christians who seek
a liturgical-sacramental, evangelical, charismatic church and a foundation
for their lives and gifts of ministry.
The Charismatic Episcopal Church is not and has never been affiliated
with the Episcopal Church USA or the Anglican Communion.
